          I loved my present. I loved the little gift card to Toys R Us with $100 so I can buy the collector dolls. Sure it wasn't tickets, but it was the next best thing. I bought the dolls right away and I already had a spot cleared for them above my bed. I put each box neatly on the newly dusted shelf. I couldn't stop smiling at the dolls. A week later my mom comes into my room and casually said," I forgot to give you this last week." It was a huge box wrapped in white wrapping paper with blue letters saying "Merry Chrsistmas" I opened it. Another box. I looked at my mom. She smiled and said open it! I did and there was yet another box. I looked at her again but this time said," This better be worth it." She replied with," Oh yes, I think you will like it." I kept going and going what felt like 6 boxes. Finnally there was a somewhat medium box. I opened it expecting another box. All I saw was a little yellow envelope that said my name on it. I told her," This wasn't worth it." She said," Open the card." I opened it, annoyed, and then two pieces of paper fell through the card. I expected it to be money so I didn't look at it yet. I read the card that said," Dear Katelynn, I know you didn't get what you were expecting on Christmas. I really didn't forget this, I just wanted you to think I didn't want to give you these. I love you! ~Mom" I slowly looked on the ground. There were 2 black, white and red tickets laying on the ground to see the one and only One Direction! I started to cry. My mom got worried and said," I didn't mean to make you cry." I started smiling," This is the best gift ever!"

Sorry that I haven't been on! I feel so badly about this. I have been grounded for buying One Direction music without permission. I will have new posts up either today or tommorrow.  :)

Have a Merry 1D Holiday!

 

         Oh how I love the holiday season! Decorations, snow, and of course the giving. I love Christmas in the North. All the snow piled up to make a delightful snowman, the snow angels scattered around the yard and the smell of pine cones everywhere you walk. It was Christmas Eve and I tweeted," Happy Birthday Louis! I have loved you for a while now. Best birthday wishes!" I didn't get re-tweeted or anything. I'm possibly one of the biggest 1D fans and they don't know who I am. This stinks.

          "Merry Christmas, Katelynn!," my mother said when I walked in. I opened my presents then I handed my mom a present. It was a beautiful silver necklace with a picture of us in a heart. I figured I opened all my presents. I was wrong. She pulled out a tiny, skinny box with red ribbon tied around it. I opened it and I looked at her and started crying with joy. I hugged her and stared at the present again. "I love it! This is the best present ever!"

          "You Don't know your beautiful," was what I heard on the radio. Wait a second, could it be? "And that was the new hot British boy band One Direction!' I sighed at the radio and said," Their not all British, Niall's Irish." Then I realized," OH MY GOSH! One Direction is back, and in America!" My mom heard me and said,"Told you." I just looked at her then I started freaking out again. I cannot believe I just heard 1D in America on the Radio! I was in love again. I hadn't heard them in a whole year. I was freaking out. If only I was in England and I could meet them and say I was with you since the beginning.

          Dear Diary,   

       I just learned that One Direction is going on an "Up All Night" tour! I have been begging to go,   but my mother has been saying no. I want to meet them! I guess it is only a dream.

          Who would vote them off again? Combined, they were undestructable. They were great! They should have won. What happened? I don't want this to end. Then Simon's words gave me some hope,"This is not the last of these boys." Maybe it is not the end. Maybe Simon can do something to help. But how? He made it clear he is only signing the winner. What happened? Then my mother walked in.

          "What's wrong?" "One Direction had lost. They had gotten third place. This is the last of 1D!" "Oh come on! If they would have won, you would have cared for about two months. Now calm down." "No! I would have been a fan forever!" "Yea, well if they had so many fans just wait and see. I'm sure they are coming back." "Really?" "Sure." Then she left. Was she right? Could they make a comback? Let's wait and see.

          I was sitting there staring at the boys jumping up and down and hugging each other when I finally realized. This is real. They really formed as a group. I was so happy, I mean I loved them  individually, now they are all together? I was so ecstatic that I wanted to fly to England and not have to watch them from my computer screen and just watch them live. I wanted to be one of the first people to meet this soon to be superstars. Also, just by how they acted I knew they wouldn't ever change. No matter how much fame, money or girls they get. They were naturally great and were destined to be a group. They were destined to be One Direction.
         I began to obsess over them. Since America didn't get any merchandise yet I had to make my own posters. I would watch the video diaries every week. I even made posters of the video diaries. I could tell Louis was the funny one and Niall was the always-just-peachy one. I was the only one in America practically who was obsessing over them in 2010. All my friends would get confused when I would talk about them. They had never heard them sing or even know what they looked like. I knew once they won X Factor they were going to come to America on a tour. Once they did, I knew my friends were going to be crying over them like me.
         I kept watching X Factor every time it came onto the computer. I could tell that how Simon Cowell was acting and how good their singing and their looks were, they were going to get 1st place. I loved being able to obsess over a hot British/Irish boy band without anyone else in my area knowing who they are. So I could call all five and nobody arguing with me. Then it happened. I cried for them. I cried for Simon. I cried for everyone involved. I just was so sure...
               

Just A Word From Me

I would like to inform anyone who reads my blog that I have changed the date of "One Direction Facts!" to Tuesdays and not Wednesdays.
I will also change the story to Thursdays and Sundays.

              It started out as any normal day of 2010. Until I started watching X Factor UK. I couldn't pick out of the five favorites. Liam Payne, who sang "Cry Me A River," was really good. So was Louis Tomlinson who sang "Hey There Delilah" was also really good. Then there was Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. Who was going to win? I knew at least one of the boys will. I mean they could sing really good and they looked really good. I mean they looked really, really good. I fell in love with these five boys at first sight. I didn't know how this was going to plan out.

 

              I watched the Bootcamp section of X Factor. I felt bad for Zayn when he couldn't dance. I knew Simon had an idea for him because he realized Zayn wasn't there and personally went in the back to find him. I couldn't believe what happened next.

    

              Who would vote these boys off? I thought they would end up going head to head all the way through the competition. I felt horrible when I saw Niall cry. The Irish cutie was so great at singing, he should have been in the top five with the others. Then they got called back. What was going on? Was this allowed? All these questions circled in my head. Then One Direction formed.
